Suspected Axiom Insider Nets $1 Million in Prediction Market Bets Ahead of Investigation Reveal
Twelve wallets allegedly profited over $1 million from well-timed bets on a crypto insider trading revelation. The largest single wallet transformed $65,800 into $477,176 within hours, according to blockchain analytics firm Lookonchain.
The activity centered on a Polymarket contract speculating which firm onchain investigator ZachXBT WOULD expose. Axiom, later named in the probe, claims to have revoked employee access and launched an internal review. The prediction market saw tens of millions in trading volume preceding the disclosure.
Lookonchain identified clustered wagers totaling nearly $400,000 that generated $1.42 million in returns. Several addresses achieved 900%+ gains on small positions. While labeled "suspected insider wallets," no direct evidence links them to Axiom personnel.
